Aurogra is an oral tablet that contains 100mg of the active ingredient Sildenafil Citrate. This tablet is used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men. Erectile dysfunction is a medical condition where men are unable to produce or maintain an erection. Along with sexual stimulation, Aurogra helps fill the penis with blood by relaxing the muscles in blood vessels and increasing blood flow to the penis which then leads to an erection. Note that this drug will not produce an erection without the help of sexual stimulation.

Warnings and Precautions
It is important to check with a healthcare provider before taking Aurogra. This drug has effects that may aggravate certain medical conditions.
Advise the doctor for any of the following conditions before taking Aurogra:
- Heart disease
- History of stroke, heart attack or congestive heart failure
- Low or high blood pressure
- Liver or kidney problems
- Blood cell disorder or bleeding disorder
- Stomach ulcer
- Retinitis pigmentosa
- Deformed penis (Peyronie’s disease)
Advise a healthcare provider of any other medications being taken to avoid drug interaction that may cause adverse effects.
Contraindications
Men allergic to Aurogra, its active ingredient Sildenafil and all its inactive ingredients, must not take this medication.
Aurogra is contraindicated in men taking nitrate medications and any of its form, such as those for hypertension or recreational drugs because Sildenafil increases the hypotensive effects of nitrates. This drug should not be taken by men being treated for pulmonary arterial hypertension with Riociguat.
It is also contraindicated in men not allowed to engage in sexual activity due to certain health reasons.
Dosage
An initial dose of 50mg Aurogra is recommended, taken orally about an hour prior to sexual activity. The dose may be adjusted, either lowered to 25mg or increased to 100mg, depending on its efficacy and tolerability for every individual. The maximum dose of Aurogra is 100mg per day.
Aurogra may be taken with or without food. But if taken with food, especially with foods high in fat, the onset of efficacy may be delayed.
Men should always begin with a lower dose of Aurogra if:
- Age is older than 65
- Serious kidney or liver problems is present
- Alpha blocker medications are taken
This medication is recommended to be taken by men aged 18 above with erectile dysfunction and not for children and women. This medication is not an aphrodisiac and does not protect individuals from sexually transmitted diseases.
Aurogra and Alcohol
Taking Aurogra with alcohol may cause undesirable effects as both can cause lowering of blood pressure.
